Made in Britain – Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust receive 1st batch of locally produced Ebola proof PPE gowns

Anthony Kerslake and Emma Carr from Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust received the first batch of 300 Ebola proof, medical grade PPE gowns from EIZO Limited to be used across the Trust, in its attempt to keep NHS staff, patients and their family safe during the Covid-19 crisis.

The workshop, based at the EIZO Limited office in Ascot opened on Wednesday and the team of professional sewers, have produced over 300 of the much need garments.

With plans to have more sewers on site within the next week, the aim is to deliver 500 gowns each day to local hospitals Heatherwood, Wexham and Frimley Park.

Anthony Kerslake Head of Fundraising for Frimley Health Charity comments

“The charity is thrilled to be working with both the hospital procurement team and the team at EIZO, and are amazed at how the community of local seamstresses have rallied around to each create over 50 PPE Gowns a day!  We are incredibly humbled by both team spirits and their professionalism.  Thank you.”
